Answering The Frequently Asked Questions About Our Auto Detailing Services

Here’ a basic list of all the questions we hear most often. If you still need some specific questions answered, send us an email.

What’s the difference between you and other Houston auto detailers or detail shops?

This is not to brag (maybe a little bit), but we’re one of only a handful of detailers in the Houston area that truly know what they’re doing. The tools and methods we use give our customers for superior results than your average detailer would. Check out our work for yourself.

Not only is your quality of work amongst the highest, we also strive to give our customers an awesome experience. We reply to your calls, emails, texts as fast as possible, we make sure you know exactly what’s going on with your car, we’ll let you know before hand what you can expect from the detail, and so forth.

You’re not going to just drop get us to detail your car and then we leave. We want to make sure you have a full understanding of what’s going on.

Where parts of Houston do you service?

Although we are mobile-based detailing company, we don’t service the entire Houston area as Houston is a very large city. It also depends on how large of a project you want us to do. That being said, here some areas we frequently visit: Spring, The Woodlands, Tomball, Houston Heights, Downtown Houston. Send us an email and let us know what area you’re in.

How long does it take to complete a detail?

To be vague, some details can take us an hour (like a car wash or headlight restoration), while other detail jobs can take us 15 hours (a full swirl removal package). It really comes down to the size of your car, the conditions it’s in, and of course, the service you want done to it.

Here are some rough numbers to give you a better idea:

Car wash- 30 minutes to 90 minutes
Wash and wax- 2 hours to 4 hours
Swirl removal- 6 hours to 18 hours
Full interior cleaning- 2 hours to 5 hours

What kind of products do you guys use?

Back when we first started, we used just about every imaginable brand and product under the sun. We had Meguiars, Chemical Guys, Sonax, Wolfgang, Griot’s Garage, and so forth. Now, we only use Meguiars and Shine Supply.
We’ve stepped away from using dozens and dozens of products and now have a small but strong arsenal of tools and products we use on on daily basis.

The last detailer who worked on my car missed a lot of spots. Do you clean the detailed parts of cars?

Ah, yes, the good ol missed-a-lot-of-spots detailer. It’s very common for us to be called out to detail cars AFTER the customer has gone through a not-so-good detailer on their car. The usual complaints we hear are they:

[+] Left water in the cracks and crevices and it’s dripping everywhere with water spots
[+] Waxed my car and left a bunch of wax residue on the edges
[+] Didn’t vacuum my car thoroughly
[+] Missed a lot of spots that were easy to clean

So yes, we make sure we get all the details.

I want my carpets and seats shampooed. Will my interior be super wet after you’re done with it?

To put simply, no, your seats and mats will not be soaking wet when we’re done with them. Although it will feel slightly damped for a couple hours- nothing to crazy. We actually use a steamer for interior cleaning, and since a steamer only uses a little bit of water (hence the steam) then we’re not going to soak your interior. You can read all about our interior cleaning services here.

Do you offer any of type of deal or discount for multiple cars?

As much as we’d love to, it’s hard for us to do that since we’re still in the beginning stages of our company. But we always love to give out deals, so by all means, let us know that you want us to detail several cars and we can work something out 🙂

Are you a certified detailer? How do I know you know what you’re doing?

Realistically speaking, there’s no certification or licenses needed to become an automotive detailer. Yes, there are schools and training classes out there that provide certificates and the like, but by no means are their standards or regulations in the detailing world.

However, with that being said, I actually went to Ventura, Ca to train with the master detailer Jeremy Stevens who is the founder of Shine Supply. That’s where I got to learn a lot of the more advanced detail techniques. Other than that, it’s all been hands on training and the good ol YouTube and Google. Check out some more of our work so you can make a better judgement about our skills.

What services do you offer and how much does it cost?

Just like the time it takes us to complete a detail, the price is dependent on the size of the car, the condition it’s in, and the type of work you want done to it.
Two people can own the same car and order the same detail, but if one car is much dirtier than the other, then that will cause a price difference. If you want more information about the services we offer, go ahead and check our our service pages: Hand Car Wash, Basic Interior Cleaning, Full Interior Cleaning, Headlight Restoration, and Swirl Removal.

I want my car washed a couple times a month. Do you offer a maintenance program?

Yes, we sure do! We’ve been noticing that a lot of our customers are keen to this type of service. We’re trying to develop some sort of maintenance packages so it can be easier and faster for you to get your car cleaned.
